Moving is insanely exhausting!

okay... so we are finally moved into my parents' home. but it's not over. just because we are physically here, doesn't meet the move is over. we have a ton of stuff in boxes, a whole bunch of odds and ends to pack up in odd shaped boxes. just walking around in this home is like navigating downtown of any third world country's major city.

the real estate agent comes tomorrow to take photos of our home, and list the house. i do miss my home, but i keep telling myself, it's just stuff. and letting go of stuff is a good thing.

i believe the dogs miss the house the most. my parents' home has no grass (desert landscape - hard on their paws) and our backyard is three times the depth of this place, so they can't really play fetch. i think this will move us to walk them more regularly. i just dread the insane barking and tugging. well, we'll have to start training them more firmly... we'll see...

cody loves his new room. we reassembled his crib as a bed, so now he's got a "big boy bed" in a "new room", those are his new words for the week. it's really fun to watch him get all excited about getting into bed. the room is bigger than his previous room, so he's totally loving it!

i'm really tired from the move since chiyang's back is still out. as he said, i'm the muscles of the move and he's the brain (he does strategy), it really stinks! but i understand, he really needs to let his back heal up before he does any heavy lifting. to be honest, i think i can see my muscles forming and toning up. this move has really shown me how strong i am. rip!!!

i'm working on the next women's event for our church. we are calling it "purse-o-nally yours" it will be a purse party. we will use different common items we find in our purses to remind ourselves of our relationship with the Lord. it will be really fun. i'm praying for it to be an encouraging and fun time for the ladies at our church.

we have a new pastor... and we have begun the "getting to know you"... their daughter is about 6 months older than cody, and well... let's just say she's a tomboy and that she has occassionally beaten up cody... but i'm glad cody doesn't let it bother him. he doesn't even fight back. just walks away... i'm thankful he doesn't hit back or freaks out like some crybaby... but at the same time, i'm wondering how do i explain the situation to him, that what she did was not right, but that it's for her mommy to discipline her, not me.

it makes me wonder... pastor's daughters can be quite a handful... i'm also speaking about myself. i think it's a spiritual warfare... now as a parent and adult, i am beginning to understand how sneaky the devil can be... ugh...

okay... my friend connie told me she would watch cody tomorrow morning, that gives me time to pack up our home some more! woohoo!

that's all for now... have to continue to process of putting stuff away... goodwill is going to have a windfall of stuff soon!
